LOS ANGELES ZOO

Thursday, February 10, 2011
Always a perfect place to go, the LA Zoo. Logan loves going to the Zoo and this was Lilly's first time. She really had a wonderful time, she checked out every animal, laughed and smiled and not once did she take a nap. Logan was our guide, he told us where to go and what we were to do.

What a great day!

VISITING WITH FAMILY

Wednesday, February 9, 2011
Awe Vacation, I just love the word! David has taken 11 days off work for us to have a nice family Vacation. To start our Vacation we spent a few days in Los Angeles. With plans to visit family and friends and to go to the Zoo and other fun places.

Wednesday night we went over to Joe and Terry's (Papa and Nana's) place to visit with all the family. Oh it was such a great time, Terry made some mouth watering Lasagna and all the kids played outside and would not come in even when it got dark. This was a real treat for Logan since he has spent the last few weeks stuck in the house with RSV, plus he got a chance to play with all of his cousins whom he missed so much! The rest of us just chatted the night away! We got to finally meet Jayden, who is now 9 months old and such a cutie!

BUTTERFLIES

Sunday, February 6, 2011
Logan's little butterflies emerged, 3 yesterday and 2 today. We fed them some nice sugar water and also some orange juice and then after about 3 hours we took them all out side to let them go. It was wonderful, Logan and I got to hold the butterflies as they warmed up in the sun and practiced moving their wings, after a few minutes they took off one by one and each time Logan would yell "Goodbye little butterfly, I will miss you!"

The little dot of black you see against the blue sky is the last butterfly to leave.

DAREDEVIL

My son the Daredevil!

The other day Logan decided that he was going to be Evil Knievel and Lilly would be his lovely assistant.

Lilly was laid on her back playing on the floor, Logan for some strange reason decided that he could run and jump over Lilly, David, who lucky for us was also on the floor grabbed Logan mid-air before any damage to Lilly could be done. When David asked Logan what he was doing, Logan responded that he was going to jump over Lilly and he would have made it if Daddy hadn't stopped him. We explained that this was not a good idea and don't want to see it again.

Well this morning Logan decided he wanted to have one more go at it, I watched in horror from the dinning room, he made it and happily did a "I told you I could" face with a little dance, once my heart started beating again, I made it very clear, do it again and time out.

I have to say I was impressed and Lilly loved it, just laughed!
Both my children are Daredevils!

CHILDHOOD FRIEND COMES TO VISIT

Tuesday, February 1, 2011
My childhood friend Stephanie was in town and came over for a little visit.

The last time I saw Stephanie I was around, 16 I think? We have know each other since the 2nd or 3rd grade. Of course we lost touch, but re-connected on Facebook.

It was a really great night catching up and of course reminiscing about our childhood and all the silly things we would end up doing, we once convinced a substitute teacher to let us perform in front of our class, we danced and sang to Footloose, we were sure that we were going to get on Putting On The Hits!

Good times!

Logan and Lilly were really fond of Stephanie and Logan hopes she will visit again and I do too!
