LILLY MEET REMI

My cousin Alisha has a little girl named Remi, she is 9 months old and the family and I finally got to meet her and Alisha finally got to meet my kids. Lilly was thrilled to have another baby to play with, she has been missing her cousin Kassandra.

WHERE WE LIVE

I wanted to share with y'all our new neighborhood, its a dramatic change from Las Vegas... it is so beautiful here, green everywhere and big Ole trees covered in Spanish moss!

The best things about our new neighborhood is the fact that we have a jungle in our backyard with a river, two ponds... one directly across the street where a couple of Otters live, the side yard next to our house is a big lot of green grass for the kids to play in and its very quite street that is mostly families, (3 kids Logan's age).

KASSANDRA SUPER STAR

My niece Kassandra has become a Model!

My sister in law Christine was asked by a friend of hers if she could have Kassandra be a foot Model for a Pediped add that they were putting together.

Being the super proud Aunt that I am I wanted to post up the photos. I know Christine will go into more details on her blog, so check in at the The Holloways Blog periodically to get the full story. (Note: She is a little behind in her blog)

WELCOME TO FLORIDA

We made it, we are now in Florida!!!!

We arrived in the middle on the night, so we didn't see much on the drive to our hotel, but this morning the view was breathtaking!! We are staying on Clearwater Beach and our room faces the ocean.

I took the kids to the beach, this was a first for both of them and it was so much fun. The water was so nice and clear and warm!

Logan wanted to collect shells, build a sandcastle and loved being able to walk right up to the water and put his feet in or just sit in the water. Boats were coming and going in the distance and he had to point out each one to me. He found a lot of shells and couldn't wait to show daddy.

Lilly was impressed with the sand first, grabbing handfuls and then trying to give me the sand and then taking it back and putting it back on the ground. It was very funny to watch. Then I walked her to the water we put our feet in and she was hooked, running in and out of the water, so very happy!

This is a photo taken by Logan. I think it is quite artistic! For those of you who have no idea what the green thing is, its Logan's Pass (short for Pacifier).

Not sure if you will be able to see it, but Lilly fell in the sand and its covered one side of her face and arm, she didn't mind, just kept on playing.

PLANES TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES

Today was a Big Adventure for us.... Flying to Florida!

Automobile: We took a Taxi to the airport, this was Logan's and Lilly's first time in a Taxi and Logan was so excited about it, I was supposed to take a photo, but I we got kinda rushed with all we had to do. It was a great ride to the airport, our driver was a great guy.

Trains: Once we got to the airport, we got our baggage checked in and our tickets. The hard part of this adventure was getting through the airport, security and to our gate with Lilly, Logan, a full backpack, a car seat, My mom, and all her stuff! I had a backpack strapped to my back, a baby carrier with Lilly in it strapped to my front, Logan holding my hand and Mom with her backpack, her computer bag and a car seat! We got through security pretty well, I was told that I could keep Lilly in the baby carrier when going through security, but I was going to be subject to a very in depth pat down! I agreed to take Lilly out! Once through security we found that there is a tram that would take us to our gate, thank god! I sure didn't want to walk all that way!!

Airplane: We got to our gate C2 at 3:44pm, we had 1 hour until our flight was due to leave, perfect time to change Lilly's diaper, restroom break for Logan and I and then to pick up some dinner. As I am in line buying some food, my mom calls me to say they are boarding the plane... ahhh crap!! I rush back with both kids and food, we grab our stuff and get in line. My mom had asked when we arrived to pre-board and they agreed that she would get to, as my mom walked up to pre-board, the kids and I stood aside to wait for our turn to be called after the A's had been seated. But my mom worked her magic and we were allowed to pre-board with her, I was so happy about this since I had to get Lilly's car seat installed and was hoping to sit near mom so she could watch the kids while I did that. So it all worked out in our favor!!

Logan loves to fly, he has flown a few times already, but this was Lilly's first time on a plane and she is also just recovering from a very bad ear infection. I was a little worried about how it would go for her.

Both kids did great!!! Lilly only had a little pain when we were landing and it was eased with a bottle to help with the pressure.

As we exited the plane I was told by the woman who sat in the row behind us that I had great children and they were so well behaved and what a great mother I am! *Blush* Yeah I have some great kids!!!

The changing table in the airplane was so small, it was the same size as Lilly head to toe, the bathroom is also very small making diaper changing more fun!

DAY 2 LAS VEGAS HOTEL

 Our first night in the hotel went pretty good, Logan and Lilly thought the room was pretty cool and enjoyed running around playing and exploring. What sucked was Logan, Lilly and I all sleeping in a queen size bed together, I sure didn't get a good night sleep with two kids kicking me all night. We had a crib for Lilly that the hotel provided, but it was more like Baby jail! It was all metal and during the night she rolled and bumped her head and it freaked her out, so that's how I ended up with both kids in bed with me. By the next morning the hotel room lost its magic for Logan, but Luckly for me there was a lot of things to do in the hotel we stayed at, it kept Logan from getting cabin Fever!

Baby prison... I mean Lilly's crib... I ended up taking a sheet and running it like a bumper thought the crib, it sure helped

Christine, Tom, Kassandra and Gwen stopped by in the evening so we could all say goodbye, I couldn't find my camera so i didn't get any photos. But I got a lot of good cuddles from Kassandra. It was sad to say goodbye, I will miss them so much, but I know we will see each other again soon!
