LOGAN MEET OMA
Tuesday, December 26, 2006
David, Logan and I packed up to go see Oma (that is German for Grandma). We arrived that night after a nice car ride that Logan did great on.
Oma was so very happy to see her Grandson, she cried and said "I made it, I got to see my Grandson". She was able to hold Logan and feed him. We spent a few days with Oma and she was able to spend as much time as she wanted with Logan.

WELCOME LOGAN
Wednesday, December 20, 2006
Logan arrived December 20, 2006 at 8:50pm weight 7 pounds 14 ounces and length 19 1/2 inches. That first Cry brought tears to both David and I eyes, it was amazing, you wait 9 months dreaming about this little guy and then he arrives and is more amazing then you could have imagined.
The C-Section went great, David was with me and even got a glimpse of my internal organs. Logan did great but ended up with a little cut on his cheek from when they cut me open to get him out. The Doctor was so very sorry about it, but David told him, Chick love scars. Logan wont have a scar, it has healed up very nicely and pretty soon it will fade to nothing.
David got to cut the cord and was off with Logan and the nurses to the baby care area well I got put back together.
INDUCTION DAY 2
Day 2 of my induction and I have made very little progress, so the doctor decides its time to break my water, talk about unconfortable and yucky! Not long after they broke my water I decided it would be a good time to get my epidural, I was not feeling much of the contractions, just having so much pain with my back. It turns out that my back was more of a problem then we though because it took 5 times to get the epidural into my back, not a fun time I must tell you! After a few more hours of checking me and increasing the potocin they find that I am stuck at 4cm and not progressing, so the Doctor decides to go ahead with a C-Section.
LOGAN IS READY TO ARRIVE
Tuesday, December 19, 2006
My Doctor decided that since Logan was already by their estimates 8 pounds that at 39 weeks pregnant, I was ready to be induced. This was a way to make sure Logan didn't get to big and make labor difficult for me.
David, my mom and I checked into the Hospital December 19, 2006 approx 6:30. After piles of paperwork they started my induction. They didn't warn David and I that it was going to take so long to get my labor started.
At about midnight I was in great pain and couldn't sleep, this was not due to contractions, I have a back problem that got aggravated by laying in such an uncomfortable bed for so long. I was given so pain killers that knocked me out for a few hours, when I woke up I was still in pain and was given some more of the same pain killers. This time I didn't pass out but had a chat with David, I guess this pain killer was pretty good stuff because I sounded like I was drunk, I guess I went on about getting the monkeys off the table and counting the horses that ran away. David and my mom find it very funny to tell that story.
