HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!

Saturday, January 29, 2011
Today is Grace's 29th Birthday!

I cant wait till she hits 30! We had a little party at Moms place, she made Sheppard's Pie and other goodies... ohh so good and I made the Cake or I should say pie. When we were growing up in Willows we used to get this pie called Mississippi Mud Pie from a local restaurant, it is awesome! So that is what Grace wanted for her Birthday and I was happy to oblige. Mississippi Mud Pie is layered, gram cracker crust then sweetened cream cheese, then chocolate pudding and to top it off whip cream.

The party was great, David was late attending since he had to help a friend move, but we all had a good time. Grace enjoyed the food and gifts! Logan and Lilly enjoyed getting out lock down even if it was only for 2 hours, I hope we didn't infect anyone! hee hee

LILLY SAID MAMA

Friday, January 28, 2011
Lilly said Mama today, I was at work when it happened, so David and Logan told me about it but then I got to hear it a bunch of times! Lilly's 2nd word... mama! Her first word was dada.

I am trying to get her on video saying mama, but everytime I pick up the camera she stops talking or says Dada...

SICK KIDS

Thursday, January 27, 2011
My kids are sick... yuck... no fun!

On Sunday Logan started coughing, by Tuesday he sounded like he was going to cough up a lung and so he could get some rest I gave him Tylenol and some cough medicine, he slept for 3 hours and when he woke up he said this to me "Mom, that stuff you gave me knocked me the frick out" at first I thought he said the "F" word but realized very quickly that he didn't and all I could do was laugh. I have no idea where he got that from, but it was funny.

Anyways, Lilly started coughing and runny nose too so on Wednesday we ended up taking both kids to the Pediatrician. Dr. Conti checked them out and ran some test and it turns out they both have RSV (Details of RSV below). So we were given medications for them both to do breathing treatments, but since it is a virus there is really nothing else to do, just have to ride it out, weee fun. We have been under house arrest and getting cabin fever, but the kids still sound like TB patients so we cant do anything!

CATEPILLARS ARRIVE

Wednesday, January 19, 2011
For Christmas Grandma got Logan the Live Butterfly Garden, something he has wanted for quite some time. We sent in the Caterpillar coupon and today Logan's caterpillars arrived. There are 5 of them and Logan has named them all, Shrek, Donkey, Doodle Bug, Dookie and Blue. In 7 to 10 days they will form a Cocoon and then in another 7 to 10 days butterflies will emerge. Logan is so excited and loves his little guys already, I am excited too, this is just so cool!

LOGAN'S ROBOT

Monday, January 17, 2011
Logan decided that he wanted to build a robot for grandma to clean her house for her and so he drew out some plans and then spent the afternoon with grandma building it, I think it turned out great. It is still a work in progress, Logan still wants it to talk and move.

LILLY IS 6 MONTHS OLD

Sunday, January 9, 2011
Lilly is now 6 months old, I cant believe it, time sure flies when you are having fun!

We have not taken her in for her Well Baby Check Up yet, she has a runny nose and we were worried that it might be a cold coming on. So we will have her height and weight listed soon.

We have a very happy little girl!
She is quite the chatter box and is practicing making sounds like mmmm. But still likes to say Dada.

Lilly is doing great with sitting up on her own and is also able to move herself from sitting to lying on her tummy, its not very graceful and after a minute on her tummy she starts to fuss.

A little progress with tummy time, she would rather stand, lay on her back or sit.

She is completely off of her GERD Medication and is doing wonderful with that.

She sleep about 9 hours straight, wakes up around 4 a.m. for a bottle and then back to sleep until 6 or 7.

She is enjoying solid food, she really loves Avocado just like mommy and Logan.

Lilly seems to find so much funny so there is constant giggles from our little lady, Logan is the best a making her laugh. All Logan has to do is make a silly noise or a funny face and she is cracking up.

LOGAN'S CHECK UP

Wednesday, January 5, 2011
Now that Logan is 4 years old he had to go and see the Doctor for a Check up and vaccinations.

We have the best pediatrician ever, we have been seeing Dr. Conti for both our kids since Logan was born. Dr. Conti is a very fast talker, very funny and both the kids just love him.

So after Dr. Conti checked Logan's Height, Weight, vitals and all the other good stuff he started to ask Logan questions like does he brush his teeth and take his vitamins, can he ride a bike and what is his favorite thing to do. Logan answered all his questions happily. Dr. Conti then reported to us we have a very health and extremely smart child, he was very impressed with his communication skills and vocabulary, way above his age range. Yeah I have to brag.... hee hee!

Logan then asked Dr. Conti if he was going to have to have any shots (or Shocks as Logan calls them) and he said yep, this caused Logan to start to panic and cry, nothing bad, just some tears and pleading to mommy and daddy to not have the shocks done. We tried to explain that it would be all over and done with very fast, but all that fell on deaf ears.

When the nurse came in with her tray of shots Logan lost it and started to scream bloody murder and cry his little eyes out! Oh how loud my son can scream, I swore my ears where bleeding. The shots were done, two shots in each leg, Logan still cried a little bit and demanded that mommy carry him and daddy take Lilly as he couldn't move his hurt legs. David at this point having gone completely deaf from having Logan scream in his ears while getting the shots was happy to take Lilly. As we walked out of the room and into the waiting room we were greeted with looks of terror in the eyes of all the poor little children waiting to go in next, yes they had all head my son scream his head off all the way in the waiting room, all the children looked traumatised and the Mommy's looked worried and some even commented "awe poor little guy, we heard you all the way out here, are you all better now?" What a morning!

Logan is now 38lb and 3ft 5in tall. Based on the CDC growth percentiles Logan is in the 50% for weight and almost 75% for height, per Dr. Conti.

I have to say that Logan being 3ft 5in and I am only 5ft 2in, I am a little freaked out at how tall he will be when he is a teenager, I am sure my little man will tower over me!

Logan took this photo of himself.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Saturday, January 1, 2011
Well my New Year is off to a great start.

New Years Eve night and through to the next day I was cleaning up puke, to some of you this seems like typical News Year, but no it really wasn't.

First off it wasn't my puke, secondly it wasn't brought on by a large consumption of alcohol. Nope it was my poor son Logan who got he stomach. So I rang in the New Year by washing vomit off my bedding and cleaning my son up who some how got puke all over him and the bed but missed the bucket that I place next to him. I did all this all by myself well my wonderful husband worked his butt off on the night shift at work.

David ended up sleeping in Logan's bed to avoid getting sick also. Fun times people... fun times!
