LOGAN'S FIRST DAY OF PRE-K

Monday, August 29, 2011
For Logan this day couldn't have come any sooner, his first day of school. From the moment he woke up this morning till we finally got in the car he asked us over and over when would we leave to take him to school.

We arrived at the school Logan started to get a little nervous, but we made it to his class and checked everything out. Then it was time for David and I to leave Logan started telling me that he wanted to go home and he didn't want to stay. David and I told him that we would be back before lunch time to pick him up. That's when the tears started.... it broke my heart!

David and I hung out in the hallway to make sure Logan was ok with us leaving, we chatted with the schools director for a few minutes then she snuck into Logan's class room to check on him, he was doing just fine... no tears and he was watching what all the kids were up too. So since Logan was all settled in, David and I headed home, I called the school about an hour and a half later to see how Logan was doing, the school director told me that he was smiling and chatting with the teacher and have a great time. That made me so happy!!

Logan all ready to go to School!

Big smiles from my handsome boy!

Right after I took this photo Logan told me "enough with the photos!"

So I took another one! LOL

Here is Logan's little desk and chair, this made me almost cry!

David and I picked up Logan after school, we were so excited to hear how his day went. When we go to school he saw us and smiled and waved, it was so cute! When the teacher said he could go he ran to us and gave us hugs and then started telling us all about his day. He said that he only cried for 6 minutes and then he listened to story time and played and he really likes his Teacher Miss Yvonne and he loves school and cant wait to go back tomorrow! I was so happy to hear all of that!!!
We then told Logan we were taking him out for lunch to celebrate his first day at school and he gets to pick where.... he chose McDonald's.

At McDonald's sitting on a train.

Checking out what toy he might get in his Happy Meal.

Happy with the toy he got!

Yummy french fries....

LOGAN'S GOING TO SCHOOL SOON

Thursday, August 25, 2011
So we just finished registering Logan for School today. He will start Pre-Kindergarten on Monday.

I am so very excited!! Logan has been asking us for over a year to let him go to school, well we just didn't have the money spend on that... its like $175.00 a week to send a kid to preschool.

Here in Florida they have a program that the State has funded to get kids into Pre-K so they are prepared for Kindergarten, you have to be a resident to qualify. The State pays for 3 hours a day 5 days a week and if you want your child to attend longer then you pay the extra hours. Logan is going to start with the 3 hours a day for about a week or two and then we will move him into longer days when he is ready.

Logan is jumping up and down with excitement, we have toured the school twice and each time he didn't want to leave, he wanted to start school right then. I told him he needed school supplies before he gets to start. We took him to pick out a lunch box, he chose Mario Brothers, the kid is addicted to Mario Brothers on the Wii! We have other things to pick up later when he goes full time, but for now they can wait.

The School is so amazing!! The Teachers are great, they have small class sizes, they do not allow sugar during school hours (awesome!), you are required to pack healthy lunches (easy for me), they provide the healthy snacks.

The Curriculum is wonderful and they actually had something that surprised me, they teach the children the sign (American Sign Language) for each letter of the alphabet! We have been signing for a long time, Lilly is really good with the sign for "all done" and is learning many more. Logan knows a lot of signs already, thank you, Mom and Dad, ducky.. etc.  I just thought that was very cool!

TO THE BEACH WE GO

Sunday, August 21, 2011
If you want to go to the beach where we live, you have a whole lot of places to pick from. We went to one on the way to Honeymoon Island, a nice locals place, not to crowded. The water was so warm and the weather was perfect! Kids had a great time, Lilly chased some seagulls and found lots of rocks to put in her bucket. Logan was a playing in the water and searching for sea shells to collect and also some to send to his Aunt Christine. We had a bucket full of these tiny cute shells, only to realize after about an hour that they were moving, there were little things still living inside the shells. Logan was upset that we had to put them back in the ocean, he wanted to keep them for pets and even named his favorite one Ducky Mo Mo!

Gotta love Florida beaches, you pull your car right up to the beach and hop out.

I am not sure what this activity is called, but it looks like they are stood on surf boards and using an ore to paddle through.

Seems everyone was out enjoying the great weather.

Grace getting a tan, she needs it... she is almost as deathly white as me!

Scott enjoying the sights.

Logan and his bucket full of shells

Just a cute photo I took of Logan while he was telling me about the shells he found

You cant see it very well from this photo, but some of the shells are crawling up the side of the bucket, that's when we realized.

Lilly inspecting the rock she found

I think she spotted another seagull

OUR NEW HOME

Thursday, August 18, 2011
I wanted to show y'all our new home, its big and pretty cool. Enjoy!

Oh by the way, please keep in mind that we only just moved in a few weeks ago so there are still boxes and stuff everywhere...

Here is the Front Door, to the left you can see stairs, these lead to Grace and Scott's private entrance. Above the front door is the patio that is attached to our bedroom.

Here you get a better view of the stairs going to to Grace and Scott's place, its called a mother in law suite, has its own bathroom and has the hook ups to put in your own kitchen.

When you walk in the front door this is what you can see, left side is the kitchen then dinning room and on the right side is the living room and just past that is the kids play area.

Here is the kitchen, nice and big. What you cant see in this photo is further to the left is the stairs to take you up to the bedrooms and also the bathroom and door the the garage.

I am stood in the kitchen taking this photo, here is the dinning area and beyond that is the doors to the back patio / back yard. See all the boxes still to go through.

Our cool new dinning set.

Here I am stood in the dinning area, you can see the front doors and the living room.

More of the living room...

Here is the kids play area...

This is a nice view from the kids play area.

Here is the downstairs bathroom.

The back patio and back yard

Ok now we are upstairs in Grace and Scott's room, here are their desks...

The Bed... as you can see they have nicely decorated their room, We haven't gotten around to that yet... still unpacking boxes...

So here you can see a small hallway, this leads to the bathroom on the right and the on the left leads to the closet and private entrance.

This is where the kitchen would be, Grace and Scott chose not to have the work completed as it would take up space. Their room is a very nice size.

Here is Grace and Scott's bathroom.

This is our room (David and I), here I am stood in front of the closet and you can see the blinds that are covering our great view and patio.

Now I am stood by the patio, here you can see the closet on the right and a door that leads to our bathroom.

The view from our bedroom and our cute little patio...

Our bathroom

This is Logan and Lilly's room.

Logan's bed and Lilly's crib.

Two closets... LOL they do not have that much cloths... David and I took over one of the closets and the kids share the other.

Lilly's changing table and Logan's bed.

Grandma's room, she has the master bedroom... its very nice!

Grandma's room is also our office, since grandma and I work from home we had to have a place to work.. thankfully there was plenty of space in her room. You can see Grandma working away and just past her is my desk.

The right door leads to grandma's walk in closet and the left door leads to her bathroom.

Grandma's bathroom..

Grandma's bathtub, this is where the kids take their bath, its a nice big tub, not as big as our old one in Las Vegas... but really nice.

Right next to my desk is a door that goes out to Grandma's private patio. very cool!
