MAKING A FIREPLACE FOR SANTA

After reading a Christmas Story the kids asked how Santa would be able to get into our home, see we don't have a fireplace... So I told the kids that we could make our own fireplace and then Santa with all his magic would turn it into a real fireplace and he would then be able to come into the house and drop off their gifts. Once he was done he would change it the fireplace back to what we created. The kids were excited about our new project. I taped up some paper on a wall that we can paint on and let the kids do all the painting and I added the detail work. Turn out nice and they kids were so happy and proud.

 

 

LOGAN FIRST LOST TOOTH 2013

After Thanksgiving dinner Logan let Daddy pull his first loose tooth and it was awesome. Logan was so brave and I was so excited!

 

Logan's adult tooth was right behind the baby tooth, so when you look at the photos you will see the new tooth already.

 

Logan got a letter from the tooth fairy, a treasure box with $5.00 and a bunch of chocolate gold coins. He was a very happy boy!! 

 

TURKEY DAY 2013

This year for Thanksgiving my sister in law went to Los Angeles with her family to visit more of our family... my mother also went to LA to spend Turkey day with my brother who is a Cordon Blu Grad (lucky) so it was left to me to make Thanksgiving for my family and my sisters family!

 

It turned out pretty good, no one got food poisoning... LOL

 

DONT TEXT AND WALK IN HIGH HEALS

I tell the kids all the time, don't play with the phone or tablet while you are walking... you would think I would know better and follow my own advice, but no... I was walking on the path up to our place and get a text... long story short I was wearing high heals, not paying attention and fell on to my knee so freakin hard that David said he could hear the crack of my knee... I scream so loud...LOL...here is a series of photos of the progress of my ugly hurt knee...

MEET SKY

This very cute and loving stray cat started visiting us, he looked hungry so we fed him and let him come inside for a visit..  and well the kids fell in love and the cat has become a member of the family.. the kids named him Sky.

 

He is a very cool cat, puts up with the kids and is always sweet and not a needed cat... funny thing is David has no interest in the cat at all and it always wants to cuddle up to him.

Welcome to our Halloween Party Hosted by Kristin and Gary, food, decoration set up and all planning was done with our little group of friends. The Party was AMAZING! So many people and everyone had a great time!

BLUE OCTOBER

 

For our 9th Anniversary my wonderful husband David purchased me two tickets to see "Blue October" here in Las Vegas, he wanted to get me the "Meet and Greet" back stage passes, but at $50.00 a pop it was just not going to happen... I was thrilled just to be able to see them live! Yeah I married a great man! I was so happy because I have been a fan since my sister gave me one of their CD's and said you have got to listen to this, I was hooked and 7 years later I still cant get enough of them! I have made several attempts in the past to go to one of their concerts and really wanted to see Justin Furstenfeld "Open Book Tour" But of course life and money always got in the way, so I made do with watching videos on YouTube, not the same, but hell.. it worked for me.

My sister in law Christine took our kids and her Daughter Kassy to the pumpkin patch for some fun, thanks Auntie Inna!!

 

9TH ANNIVERSARY

 

David and I have been together for 14 years and we celebrated our 9th Wedding anniversary with a nice dinner out and some gambling!

It was nice just to spend some alone time together!

I love this man more and more everyday!!

Our Friends Shy and Phillip invited us all to Logan's best Friend Payton's Birthday Part! It was a great time and the family made such a cute cake!!

We were able to take a tour of Logan's new school... it has its own Marine Biology Lab. Very cool school and Logan is looking forward to 1st Grade!!

We had a great summer this year, Logan and Lilly had lots of friends come over and spend time with us, movies nights, crafts like making flubber and trips to the parks.. etc...

 

LILLY'S 3RD BIRTHDAY

Happy 3rd Birthday to our Princess Lilly!!!

Lilly has grown and changed so much in a year, her favorite singer is Pink, she loves the TV show Princess Sofia, and her life is all about being a princess!

 

Lilly will not where anything but princess dresses (dresses she thinks look like a princess would wear) and if you try to get in dress in anything else, it will cause her to cry and say "but this doesn't make me feel Beautiful!"  She get this from her Grandma and Aunt Grace, because I am a jeans an T-shirt kinda girl!

 

Oh and she always wears a hat, a hat is a must in her eyes and a matching pair of shoes, LOL!

 

So for her 3rd Birthday she wanted a Princess Tea Party and invited her 3 Friends.. Kassandra, Gwen and Olive to join her on this special day... she also agreed that her brother and his friends should come, but they were not to be Princesses but they could be pirate. So Logan and his best Friend Payton, Brian and Blake got to join the fun too. Of course I invited all our family and friends along to enjoy the day with us all.

 

I decided that I was going to make a small princess cake for each of the girls and a large sheet cake and cup cakes for everyone else.

EMMETT'S 1ST BIRTHDAY

My nephew Emmett turned 1 year old!! 

My mother and sister Grace put on a great little party for his big day and my sister made her son such a cute Mickey Mouse Cake and cupcakes.

We all had a wonderful time!!

LOGAN'S KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION

Logan's kindergarten Graduation was awesome, most of the local family was able to attend.

 

We are very proud of Logan, he graduated with A+ in all subjects! After the graduation ceremony we had a small party at our place to celebrate all his hard work!
 

DAVID BREAKS HIS FOOT.... NO WAIT HIS TOE

 

David was walking into the bedroom and kicked the side of the bed, he dropped to the floor and howled out in pain.... I thought nothing of it for the first few minutes, but when it continued I went to investigate....

 

His pinky toe was at a funny angle and his foot was swelling up, so I told him we need to go to the ER, he fought me on this but finally agreed after he got up and tried to walk on it.

 

The first ER we went to was packed, it would be a good 6 to 8 hours so we went to another one across town, David insisted he was doing better to I grabbed his toe and made him scream like a girl and curse me out then agreed one again to go to the other ER.

 

At the ER they did Xrays and told him he broke his foot. A Few days later we went to a specialist and found out that he did not break his foot, only his toe and it was a bad break. But good news.... no full cast, only taped up his toe to the next toe and a walking shoe.

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY LOGAN

Our Logan is getting to be such a big kid! He turned 6 years old and it still feels like yesterday that he was born. Watching this kid grow has been amazing. He is doing wonderful at school, loves to play outside all day long and loves to watch Amazing World of Gumball.

VISITING WITH SANTA

I took Logan and Lilly to see Santa, they were both excited to see him. Once we got at the front of the line Logan was jumping up and down and Lilly was getting a little uncertain about meeting him. Santa waved the kids over and Logan jumped right up on to his lap and after seeing Logan do it, Lilly decided it was safe for her to go meet the big guy as well. When Santa asked Logan what he wanted for Christmas, Logan replied "I want a magic pony that poops all the toys I want" after Santa got done laughing he asked Lilly what she would like, well Lilly must have thought Logan was on to something because cause she told Santa she wanted the same thing.

ANIVERSARY 8 YEARS

For out Anniversary David and I went to see Hollywood Babble on with Kevin Smith and Ralph Garmin. It was a great night, very funny! We did have really bad seats, but at least I could see Kevin Smith from where we sat.

DANCE CLASS

My niece attends a dance class every Saturday and had a bring a friend to dance class day. Logan and Lilly went along and had a great time.

LOGAN FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

 

Today was Logan's first day of Kindergarten! A very exciting day for all of us, Logan couldn't wait to get to school as summer was just not that fun without all his Florida friends.

 

We arrived at school and Logan was off running around the playground with the other kids right away, he made a few friends and when it was time for David, Lilly and I to leave we let him know.

 

We did not expect this reaction from him, he turned to us and said "OK you can leave now" so we gave him hugs and kisses and said we would see him after school.

 

When David picked him up after school he said he had a great day and made lots of friends, but couldn't remember any ones name. We took him out to a special first day of school lunch and he could pick anywhere he wanted to go, so he chose Ihop. Geez really?! LOL

David got pulled over by a very nice police officer, Logan loves police and this nice officer decided to show Logan his police car and police equipment.

 

The officer even let Logan talk into the load speaker, Logan said this "Daddy your a poopoo head" I think everyone on that block heard what Logan had to say.

LILLY'S 2ND BIRTHDAY

Lilly is now 2 years old, we had a great little family party with Blues Clues as the Theme and held at Chuck E Cheese.

 

I am really blown away at how fast Lilly has grown, she is a very smart little lady and speaks so well. She loves art, drawing and painting. She is right on track with her growth, still a little on the small size but she takes after mommy!

 

Blues Clues is her Favorite show right now and she loves to sing and dance.

WELCOME EMMETT

 

My sister Grace and her husband Scott Welcomed their first child Emmett Pevchin on June 30, 2012

 

Grace has a C-Section due to Emmett's failure to grow due to issues with the placenta, he was born at 5 almost 6lbs a very health baby boy.

TO MUCH TO DO

So much to do and so little time in a day! I am sorry for not keeping our little blog updated recently, I have tons of photos and stories to share, but I just can't seem to find the time. Don't worry that should change very soon!

Here is a little update on our life as it is right now.

I am playing the role of single mother, now don't go freaking out David hasn't really left us.... David has gone back to Las Vegas for work. He had an opportunity to make some good money an as fate would have it, it was at the perfect time since things at my job were slowing down.

So David left almost 2 weeks ago and I had learned how hard it is to be a single mom, but yet not single. I am lucky to have such a good support system out here in Florida.

I get the kids ready in the morning, then my mom an a friend of mine Chris take care of the kids till I get off work. Thank you Chris! Thank you Mom! Then it's dinner, play time, bath and bed and start the whole thing over again the next day! I haven't gotten to sleep in on the weekend since David left, man I am worn out all the time!

Anyway, here is the big news! We are heading back to Las Vegas... Yeah you read that right... We are moving away from this wonderful and amazing small town, saying good bye to all the wonderful friends we have made, away from all the family activities and beaches and moving back to Las Vegas. As you can tell I am just trilled with the idea of moving back!!! But we need to do what we have to, to be able to support our little family. Florida as wonderful as it is has not been kind to us, work is extremely had to come by, pay rates are low and the cost of living is high. By the way, I need to compose a little email to Marlene telling her she was right and I was wrong and thanks again for looking out for us!

So there you have it, we will be moving the end of May.

And I have decided I am going to make the best of this situation. We will be buying our first home in a few months and I am going to take my little chocolate, cupcake making hobby into something much bigger an profitable and thankfully I have my brother who is attending the Le Condon Bleu to teach me and I have signed up for some college classes in baking, cake design and chocolate making oh and just for fun a class on show pieces and spun sugar. David will also be doing some college classes in Creative writing.

I think this will be for the best and as long as I have my family I can live anyplace and be happy!

What a lucky boy Logan is, he got invited to 2 play dates for the same day.

In the Morning we went over to Logan's friend Miles house. Logan, Oliver and Miles played so great together and Lilly joined them for a little bit, but was pleased just entertaining herself with us by exploring her new surroundings. David and I had a great time as well, chatting and laughing with Chris and Joe. They even had us stay for Lunch, Joe BBQ'ed some hot dogs and Hamburgers!

Logan and I went to see The Lorax in 3D, great movie, wonderful 3D and the movies leaves you with a nice uncomfortable feeling that you are not doing enough to help the environment! LOL

UPDATE

Things have been a little crazy around here and I was just able to add some photos of what has gone on over the last few months.

Here is an update!

I got a job doing Book Keeping for a company here in Clearwater, the company is AWESOME!! So I am working full time and David is home with the kids.

We headed to Dunedin to check out the locals version of Mardi Gras, it was great... I didn't take many photos (Sorry). They kids loved it and we had a great time.
